Living sustainably means living smarter
World Environment Day, commemorated each year on 5th June to stimulate awareness of the environment with action. The slogan for 2008 is “Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy”.
Recognising that climate change is the defining issue.
Some of the actions:
- Reusing, Recycling and Reducing rubbish
- Low carbon economies and lifestyles
- Improved energy efficiency
- Alternative energy
- Forest conservation
- Eco-friendly consumption
We promote that only common people can make the positive difference.
So how are you going to make that difference so that people enjoy a safer more prosperous future???

Taking care about rubbish disposal is good for you and the environment. Up to two thirds of household rubbish can be reduced, reused or recycled. Reducing, reusing and recycling lowers carbon emissions, saves energy and resources, and cuts your rubbish disposal costs.
Hands on Workshops for School Student Council...
We are starting a new programme for schools in Auckland region. The program includes a series of short hands on workshops on some aspects of sustainability with a problem solving approach. The aim is to find problems within the school environment and then find a practical solution to minimise the effect.
For example: Encouraging people through an electronic award to put rubbish in the rubbish bin. Not around it… Or the run the school tractor on bio fuels made within the school.
We will work with a small number of students, more likely with the student council, for two days at selected schools. This will then have some ripple effects out to the other students. Student council is a suitable target group for such an activity.
I am wondering if there is any funding available for such activities, from the school. Please let me know if you are keen to consider this and we can exchange more details.
